Agra, a city based in Uttar Pradesh, India, This city is situated on the banks of river Yamuna. It is the most populous city of Uttar Pradesh. This city has always been in discussion, Here people from all over the country visit, besides this, it is also the preferred place for foreigners. It is a prominent place for the Mughal era’s buildings, especially the Taj Mahal built by the Mughals is the most famous. Taj Mahal has been rated the most beautiful building of India.

History of Agra:

The golden age of Agra started when it came to the Mughal’s governance. Mughal emperor Babar  conquered it in 1526, After this, the Mughals ruled for many generations. After Babar, his son Humayun again son of Humayun, Akbar ruled here Similarly, the rule of the Mughals in Agra lasted till the generation. Akbar, in addition to the arts, commerce and religion in this place, He also constructed the huge fort of the Red Fort. After this, Mughal descendants of Shah Jahan constructed the Taj Mahal Memorial in here. This monument he had built for his wife Mumtaz, hence the name of this monument was named of Mumtaz. After the fall of the Mughal Empire, in 1803 this place commanded the hand of the British Raj.

Tomb of Mariam-uz-Zamani,  was built in Agra, This was produced by Akbar for his Hindu Begum, whose love story is written in books too. Hindu religion was recognized in this during the reign of Akbar.
