History of Darjeeling:
History of Darjeeling is related to Sikkim, Nepal, British India and Bhutan. In 19th century Darjeeling and all the guarded areas around it were controlled by Sikkim. The Anglo-Gorkha war broke out in 1814, in which Gorkhao was defeated,the result was that Nepal was out of touch with all those areas, After the constant conflict between British India Company and Sikkim, in 1850, 650 square miles was destroyed by the British. It was prepared in the form of Hills Station during the British Raj, This city was declared as Santorum and Health Resort. Tea cultivation started here in 1856. After the inauguration of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway in 1881,the city were developed. After independence in 1947, Darjeeling was merged with West Bengal.

Vegetation, industry and climate:
Vegetation is available in the vicinity of Darjeeling, such as Sal, Oak, Semi-Evergreen, Temperate and Alpine Forests. There are some species of species like several species of ducks, teals, plovers and gulls. Lal Panda is in Darjeeling’s Zoo for which TA conservation Center has been opened. It is especially famous for the tea industry, black tea industry is the highest.
